Duck Hunt August 30, 2008

But without the hunting. Near our house is a pond with about 30 ducks or so that the dogs love to watch. After going to the store we stopped and watched them for a bit.

The pugs are hard to take good pictures of. Their dark fur tends to not show a lot of detail in pictures, but I’m happy with how these came out. I think they look cute.

The ducks quickly grew tired of us staring at them and swam into the grass, which caused a lot of whining and attempts to escape from the car.

Aftermath August 18, 2008

Today is such a weird day after all the emotions yesterday. Family ‘meetings’ that are made up of people whom you don’t consider family and that turn into a whirlwind of accusations and denials are hard. It feels good to get it all out there and said, but it leaves you feeling dissatisfied that you could have/should have said more. That all leaves you feeling like you’ve survived something but are unsure about the future. Where are the new team lines? Who do we trust and with what?

I spent the morning mood-eating and looking at vintage Tupperware on eBay. Therapeutic. I have some beautiful yarn coming that I ordered earlier in the week as I knew this situation was coming. Can’t wait for it to get here and help me move on. I’m going to go squeeze my dogs and be thankful for the true family I have.

Sorting August 4, 2008

I have been cleaning all throughout my house. Deep cleaning. The reason for this will be shared in the near future, but for now I have been trying to separate our junk into usable, useful rooms. I have even kicked the yarn out of the clothes closet. It’s THAT serious around here.

A lot of life has happened since my last post. I never lost interest in blogging, but have wondered if anything I say deserves space on the internet. Do my pictures of pets and projects hold any interest to others? Whatever the facts are I miss typing and posting so am going to start again.

I have also finished a few projects and have pics coming to prove it. We have a new animal addition, fresh today. A friend came from far away and visited. I am pondering a new and truly life changing job. Several friends are starting new adventures in life. We will see where this all takes us.
